Explosions on aircraft are not typical malfunctions
There was no undue stress during the take-off and acent to it's desired cruising altitude. There was obviously a powerful explosion that blew the entire wing off from the fuselage; reported by many onlookers on the ground and even captured on video. The age of the aircraft should speak of it's durability. Explosions on aircraft are not typical and should be highly suspect. (with exception of Flt. 800 - per FBI)
