Space/Science » in reply to I have my own star

Congrats!

Mine is in Cygnus near Deneb. My wife got it in 2000. When I checked it out I was disappointed as it is around 14 magnitude if I recall correctly and I wouldn't be able to see it through my telescope at my location. A distant star next to another and even if I went to a super dark location I probably wouldn't be able to separate the view of it from the other one if you know what I mean.

I didn't dare tell my wife, it's the thought that counts.
