Sometimes I forget that there are people out there who actually have lives that occasionally take them away from the Net. :-)
A not-so-well-kept secret of web development is that 95% of what we generalists do is absurdly easy. Even the backend database and file system stuff, the graphics etc, it's usually pretty simple. But it's like any secret language...if you don't know what all the little scribbles mean, it's gibberish.
The code for a table is pretty straightforward (looks ok in the preview, hope it makes it to the post!):
<table cellpadding=“0” cellspacing=“0”>
<tr>
<td style=“font-size:larger;text-align:center;border:2px solid red; padding:0px;background-color:green;color:white;font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-weight:bold;height:70px;”>
Will it work?
</td>
</tr>
</table>
As you can see I took a few liberties with you style.
A span is simpler:
<span style=“whatever”>Text goes here</span>
But you can't really specify the height of a span. Perhaps you could do so by putting in a space (or non-breaking space) in a larger font size, or by using a transparent spacer gif, but I haven't tried either of those. The div is typically the way to go if you need to specify height (and width), but as we're discovering the div is disabled in the 'Zone (if I recall correctly, Robert has something about that in the HTML tutorial).
