The point, as you probably realize by now...
Was that something that should have been obvious to anyone who thought about it for ten seconds sat mislabeled on the front page of the New York Times website for a considerable period of time. I won't even go into the many foreign news sources that are probably still circulating that photo.
I suspect that items that make the U.S. look bad get treated to much less critical thinking at the Times than those that don't.
