This line is meant to appeal to the terrorists as if saying "She's really on your side! She hates America's war too. Please let her go!"

It's a mistake.

It effectively accomplishes nothing, except perhaps demoralizing the very soldiers/ operatives/ Iraqis who are trying to save her.

Those in the kidnapping game for political or financial reasons just are happy they have an American instead of some other nationality. Since they took the time to actually set her up with a fake interview, it's obvious they knew who they were getting and it was not a random thing.

Naturally, Al Jazeera has the video and won't divulge how they got it. As usual, the media plays accomplice to terror. If no one ever heard of these things their would be absolutely no reason to do them. Like the vast numbers of actors who need applause to assuage their insecurities, the terrorist kidnapper needs an audience for their theatrical bloodletting.

Ethics? Morals? The media don't need those to do business.

The media always comes through for terrorists. They can count on turning on the TV or buying a paper and seeing their handiwork advertised around the world for free. Political kidnapping is media terror. It is done solely for media exposure.

Thus, the media terror cycle continues unabated.
