Bush and the neocons are stuck. Too big a blunder.
This is such an obvious issue, and such a big mistake, that to admit they have had their heads so far up their butts is beyond them.
They can't do it. Bush has never been responsible for anything. Constitutionally incapable of admitting a mistake, even though everything he's touched has turned out very, very badly.
Look for 'em to blame Clinton, India, and China.
And computers. We all know computer models aren't perfect. Can't trust 'em.
Tragic.
And to do something which might impinge upon their life-style, well, that's totally out of the realm of possibility.
