They have wasted five years
This nation could have led the way to address the climate change issues facing our planet. The economic dislocation and loss of life associated with global warming will make 9/11 pale in comparison. The huricanes spawned by the warming of the Gulf waters are just the tip of the iceberg. For five years the Bush administration has done literally nothing to address this crisis. The science is no longer in doubt, yet we still do not have a public policy and national strategy in place to reduce the production of greenhouse gasses.
