Mandating FFV on cars might be worth looking at.
I don't particularly like too much regulation, or mandates, but we are looking at a national security issue here, and requiring cars to be able to burn mixed fuels seems like a reasonable compromise, and less onerous than strict mileage standards that would restrict choice a lot more.
