They had set up a kiosk and were peddling nuclear power. I read some of their brochures and watched them systematically insulting passers-by and ranting with that same old desperate opportunistic zealotry and fanaticism that you have brought to the Zone, under the guise of "debate and issues".
I was coming back from one of my trips to PR, so I felt I knew a little bit about nukes. I noted that their program, although technically correct, had been selectively cherry-picked and artfully spun (yeah, lots of footnotes) into a frenzy that implied anyone who might express any opposition to them whatsoever had to be either a fool or a traitor.
Maybe they did run candidates under the Democratic banner, (although I suspect they were opportunistic provocateurs and not above employing black propaganda tactics). I knew nothing about them at the time. Just from listening to their program, and watching their tactics, I naturally concluded they were conservatives.
The crew cuts and skinny black neckties were a dead giveaway.
PS. I happen to like Rev. Al. I think he's a great American and a true patriot.

- OK. The end times. We need to rejoice, the US is selling arms to terrorists.
