Olympic drug-testers draw fire for secret agent tactics.

I think they may as well give up trying to keep sports clean, and turn the professional versions over to the freaks.

From kids being HGH (human growth hormone) on to steroids, then gene modifications and blood doping the cheats are more inventive than the folks trying to keep matters reasonably honest and fair. And will always stay one jump ahead.

The excuses, such as the guy using Rogaine knowing it would mask illegal steroids to the fellow who just took pills his trainer gave him without asking what they were, are creative. One must believe these athletes are innocent victims, trusting beyond belief, and in no way trying to get an advantage, or cheats.

I believe it's impossible to have a drug-free environment where so much money is involved, and to pretend it is possible is to do a disservice to a public which wants to believe. May as well admit these folks are wasted, and let 'em go.
