I'm afraid it's not really personal with Bush, either. Sorry to burst that comforting bubble, but while I see Bush as the high-profile point man for the NeoRepublicans who are taking the country in the wrong direction, that entire cabal is the problem, and all of 'em must be shown the door. Bush's tipping point is past, his influence is waning rapidly, the odds are nonzero he'll face impeachment before his term expires naturally, and these days I've moved on to the problem of dislodging the Neos from Congress. All that's necessary with Bush is to play sheepdog and make sure he doesn't pull a fast one and escape justice.

That equivalency trick is another one that's losing its effectiveness. I'm referring to the "anti-Clintonistas" reference, which is supposed to subliminally trivialize concern for Bush's truly impeachable offenses by equating them with holier-than-thou shrieking about Clinton's penile indiscretions. Gimme a break, Techie, if the allegations in that report are found to be true, then Bush and his gang will be proven to have done tremendous and substantial harm to America. Their "high crimes and misdemeanors" will have actually involved their official duties and will have actually violated their oaths of office.
