Why yes, December 20th, in fact
As I said in the first line of my original post.
It seems that Rep. John Conyers, leader of the Democrats on the House Committee on the Judiciary, released a report on December 20th amusingly titled “The Constitution in Crisis: The Downing Street Minutes and Deception, Manipulation, Torture, Retributions and Cover-ups in the Iraq War.”.
Which apparently you didn't bother to read, did you? Just jumped in to blow some rhetorical hot air because SDAI-Tech1 did. I'd have expected better of you, Tom.
The ad homineum attack on Conyers misses the point. The report is a prototype of the case to be made for impeachment, and whether it's Conyers resolution that starts it off or somebody else's later, perhaps after the 2006 election, I think it foreshadows what Bush will be up against.
At least as far as known up until last December. Between the wiretaps and the stuff still coming out around Dubai, like the secret agreement discovered by the AP, the case for impeaching Bush is just going to get weightier with time.
Anyway, relax, Tom. Conyers' report's just a snapshot of a work in progress, interesting for its early read on how things will unfold. If you'd bothered to actually read my post about it, you'd know that I never maintained that the report would be curtains for Dubya. In fact I didn't give the report a review one way or the other (except, admittedly, for finding the title and tone amusing). Just notice of another milestone along the Presidential Perp Walk.
