As far as WMD goes, read this.

Saddam was persuing WMD. Not only that he had had working one in the past that he had used to kill thousands, if not hundreds of thousands.

Like the American slaves, the Iraqis were living as slaves under Saddam. He could kill them at any time, and he did. His sons could rape some father’s little girl at any time, and they did.

The people of Iraq lived in fear of the monster that watched over them. That monster bribed the very people sent to help them. Those people, the UN, turned a blind eye to Saddam while he did what he pleased, while his people starved.

Saddam violated the no fly zone and shot at US planes for a decade, thumbing his nose up at America. He had the UN in his pocket, so what did he care.

Yes, he was a monster who built huge places while his people starved, used WMD for genocide as he tried to wipe the Kurds from the face of the Earth. He invaded his neighbors. His sons raped little girls and shredded humans while they were still alive.

Now Iraqis have a chance to rule themselves. They have a chance for freedom. They had a chance they never had before. And it will take time, but they will get there. They want this.
