"Who is probably the single most violent nation on planet Earth?" Bennish asked his class. "The United States of America."

He went even further, comparing Bush to Adolf Hitler.

"I'm not saying that Bush and Hitler are exactly the same, obviously they're not," Bennish said. "But there are some eerie similarities to the tones that they use."

Laurie Street, "The teacher's subject was social studies and American history - don't you think the situation in Iraq and Bush's role fit in to that field?"

Sure, but comparing Bush to Hitler is a bit extreme, don’t you think? What do most people think about when they here “Hitler”? The Holocaust, Killing, death… everything negative.

Laurie Street, "As I understand it, the issue is not (or at least should not be) about the specific topic, but rather about whether or not the material was presented in a balanced way. To determine that, students and the teacher would have to be interviewed - I haven't seen any specifica about that so far."

At least one student has said they didn't get a chance for a balanced view.

Keep personal political opinions and agenda’s out of the classroom. Be them conservative or liberal, Democrat of Republican, keep them out of the classroom.
