I made the argument that Poe was a transvestite since roderick and his sister were not seen together, and "madeline usher" was an anagram for 'Dame rules in he' clearly Poe was trying to express his feminine side... Poe was a suppressed transvestite... The collapse of the house was symbolism of the inability of a divided psyche to stand... I pointed out how silly my analysis was (The silly bitch has already marked points in my favor ) I then went on to attack the concept of deconstructionism. I called it a case of the emporers new clothes- one idiot 'sees' a deep meaning and others, attempting to be deep, 'see' the deep meaning, the problem is that there is a difference between being 'deep' and being in over your head. The fool gave me an F- I really did not care since I had my degree so I challenged her...
She told me to rewrite it- I wrote a MORE daminng critique of her bread and butter-
This is where I told her I would take it up with her department head If she tried to play with me... She reluctantly gave me a B minus- I had the evidence that she believed my BS and that she LOVED it... It was my only undergraduate C...
