Maybe a distributed network would be more robust than a central location? It was just a big boxy office tower, right? Honestly, when I saw pictures of New York, the twin towers didn't hold any significance for me. I didn't even know they were significant at all. Actually, there are much more conspicuous landmarks in nearly every city in North America.
