Can't believe that Space.com would consider printing such rubbish unless it's for a laugh at the rube that somehow figured out that combination of ice, snow, and rocks was somehow this giant boat (created by a single man) that magically got populated with a pair of every living creature on the Earth to prevent them from being wiped out by a huge flood of which there is no geographical record.
So, guess there was no need to include fishies in the animal list. They'd do just swimmingly in a major flood. Guess that means they were sinless. Would've been an interesting task to combine pairs of animals on board that were natural predators to one another. I'm sure Noah's giant zookeeping staff had that all nailed down not to mention the monumental task of dumping a ton of crap overboard each day. By the way Noah, was there no way you could've forgotten to send out the invitations to the ants, termites, and mosquitos or were they stowaways?
I assume too, you dropped off your cargo on different continents to explain the diversity of species we see today in places like the Galapagos and Austrailia. Oh wait, the Biblical story seems to indicate the first land was the famed Turkish mountain. I guess that part of the story is just a bit incidental.
Christianity or any religion based on the Bible would be best to distance themselves from the absurd stories of the Old Testament if they ever want to establish credibility with critical thinking humans.
