Real space travel will require real space craft.
Not the aluminum foil toys we've used in the past. I'm talking about vessels with hulls mulit-centimeters thick. Powerful nuclear engines to allow for realistic travel times and payload capability. Going to Mars in a capsule isn't going to cut it. Capsules should be left for LEO only.
