And I've just finished the last two.

As you know, I was born and raised in the South, and I was a senior in high school in 1963/64: Civil Rights, Beatlemania and JFK--blown away, what more do I have to say?

The writer is spot on. I saw all this go down, just how he describes it. Messick has outlined something I've known viscerally all my life, but have never been able to articulate successfully myself.
