Has anyone checked the number of coat hangers on the ISS?

Back in the 1980s, there was an article in the scientific humor magazine "Journal of Irreproduceable Results" on the question of why socks disappear and coat hangers multiple. The article postulated that "socks are the larval stage of coat hangers." This could be confirmation of the hypothesis and the first evidence that it works in space, too.
