Why wasn't Bush man enough to TELL everyone HE declassified the information and PRESENTED it when Valerie Plame was outed?

Why did he have to lie? Do you condone this false facade from your leader? Don't you SEE on TV the comments he made at the time about getting to the bottom of it and FIRING whoever "leaked it"?
