Plus an advanced enough ETI exploring the galaxy is not going to have issues
with resource spending on such a project that we might (but shouldn't).

When I think of the literally trillions wasted annually on transient things by our
species on this planet, a few dollars to signal ETI and/or search for their signals
is a rare noble goal.
