re: Black holes do not suck

[There probably are a number of black holes much closer than that
to our solar system. You hve to be really close to a collapsar (my
preferred term for them) to worry about getting pulled in. Everyone
envisions it like some kind of monster vacuum cleaner, but it's power
comes from gravity, not sucking things in like a whirlpool.]

Agreed! One of the most fascinating facts (although never really that far fetched) found recently is that radio waves escape black holes. Somewhat of a no-brainer since seeing those amazing photographs of jets escaping from bh.

Not sure about the Binary Institute, but

[how did Sedna get in its
current erratic orbit?] Good question and WHEN?
