I still have pennies made in WW2... steel pennies...

Copper was too important to the war effort to waste on pennies... (Yes, when I was a kid I made a penny collection- It was complete... it was also a waste of time- I think the most valuable one I have was worth 21 dollars about 20 or so years ago...
