re: differences
I live in Texas, and I work for a swimming pool contractor. Our crews pretty much stayed away, as did many of the subcontractors we use.
I was out at a couple of our jobsites today, in developments still under construction... You could have heard a masonry nail drop, had there been anyone to drop one.
Traffic was a bit lighter than normal, but I noticed (since I drive one myself) the dearth of company work trucks.
And yeah, the rumors about 'la Migra' were thick.
