Like trying to squish a mouse with a cannon
When are these alien invaders going to figure out that if you
want to beat humans into submission you don't land your
ships with armies full of warriors toting ray guns - you simply
attach a rocket booster onto some NEOs and aim them at
our major cities. Then you wait for the dust to settle and
either the predicted surrender or you have more natural
space missiles waiting in the wings.
Of course, if you've already got interstellar spaceships
and fancy laser weapons, what do you need to worry about
the humans for?
