I have to agree that it can be annoying when you are trying to glean the information quickly. However I do more listening to stuff than reading stuff lately, because I use it as background as I work. It keeps my mind sharp while doing mundane tasks. I've started using a podcast downloader to download from my favorite sites automatically. Then I just hit play and go to work. The volume and pause controls on my keyboard have finally come into use, since its easier to just hit the pause button when somebody comes up to my desk.

Now if only I could get the HZ in audio, then I would be able to keep up here, since I never have the time to read anymore. :) Maybe in a few years we could send Robert voice samples, which his server could synthesize to read back to us in an approximation of the person's voice. Just watch the ALL CAPS folks some of us want to keep our hearing intact. :)
