High strange
The Galaxy is an extremely complex object, there are gravitational, radiative, nuclear, chemical, dynamic, even acoustic phenomena interacting with electrical and magnetic fields, plasmas, and matter. On top of that, it is also evolving over time. The new discoveries, Dark Matter, etc., hint at even more complex manifestations. And it is all happening in slow motion; the speed of light is so slow, the Galaxy is so large, and our history is so short, that we are essentially looking at an instantaneous snapshot of an explosion. I envy and admire the men and women who are able to spend their lives devoted to its study.
