If you look at Davis' actual papers, you will find that the scientists actually have no clue as to what the net balance between interior and edges really is. But what you're hearing from the environmental hysterics is only one side of the speculation.
It's a shame that CEI's work, which is somewhat simpleminded, to put it bluntly, is being considered the "opposition" in these arguments.
