Off world...

Hi

Off world colonies need to be built for their own sake, but preserving the human species is a good reason amongst many.

Diversification of habitat has meant evolutionary success for any species that has generalised to cover many environmental conditions. Specialisation of habitat is a road to extinction when conditions change, as they inevitably will.
