Next step in Iraq
The Iraqi military is moving on militias in Baghdad and elsewhere today. This is long overdue, and much would be better today if Sadr and his goons had been taken out during their 2004 uprisings.
There may be increased violence, and no doubt the "civil war" fans will be strutting their stuff in America, but at some point local gangs and militias have to be taken out, and it isn't going to be clean.

I'm still waiting nervously for al Qaeda's big symbolic vengeance attack. They have to do something big soon to maintain any credibility.
