You are in a bigger state of denial, Geoff, than I could ever imagine.

Let's put it simply...the Bush/Cheney doctrine has failed. It was doomed from the start. Based upon false premises and naive presumptions. We are now paying the bitter price for this incompetence - most notably in the price of a gallon of gasoline, but more importantly in the ever increasing loss of life. Conditions in the Middle East are worse now than they were six years ago and steadily getting even worse. Even Newt Gingrich is talking about World War III.

When will the neocons recognize their failures? We need someone like Bill Clinton back in the White House and a Congress driven by intelligence rather than rhetoric. While the GOP dawdles in flag burning amendments and gay marriage bans, Beirut and Baghdad are burning. Meanwhile, Rush Limbaugh refills his Viagra prescription and flies down to the Domincan Republic for a little unspecified extra-curricular activity.
