Do we need another WALTER CRONKITE to tell the USA the war in IRAQ is a NO-WIN?

Saw the retro on Uncle Walter last nite on PBS, and yes, as a young kid remember Cronkite's Jan '68 commentary on the Vietnam War, such power to wield over the governemnt with the famous LBJ line " If I lost Cronkite, I've lost America" forcing him to not run in '68. Who will be that reporter ?
