That the U.N. is utterly useless in preventing any real aggression in the world has long been obvious.

Any form of boycotts or sanctions outside the U.N. are doomed to fail, since China, for one, will ignore them, and is VERY anxious to buy oil from all sources, evil or otherwise. What does China care if Iran has nukes? Iran isn't going to use them on China, and if Iran kills millions of others with them, the Chinese leadership will shrug and say, "more where those came from," or even "good riddance."

It is impossible to use military action at this point. Iran's illegal programs are buried in civilian infrastructure even more thoroughly than Hezbollah's. And now that any military action that results in any civilian death, even unintentionally, has been redefined as an unforgivable war crime, the West is pretty much paralyzed while, as usual, the monsters can do whatever the hell they like.

Idiots out there who claim that Democrats could somehow "fix" all this are welcome to chime in with their solutions. Surely, if Kerry were president, China would agree to cut off their own oil supplies, right?
