Several years ago (around 1999 or 2000), a french journalist (Pierre Kohler) made such suppositions about occured sex in space in a book he wrote.
Even Jim Oberg learned about it and I got to make it possible for both to contact each other through e-mails. I don't know what they talked about.
But I did mail to Kohler all the same arguments and he accepted them.

What was "interesting" was the unanimous disagreement concerning Kohler's book (well, at least the incriminated chapter) from the US side.

Kohler is a science journalist and I read some of his previous books. When I found out about that book, I wondered how true the other things he wrote were.

It is tempting to write stories that sell, even if not true....But in the long run, I'm sure it doesn't help. It might seduce some, but their expectations will shrink very far, after a while.
