Yes, indeed , I've thought of Orion, and that was for it's motorized tripod.

The thing I'm thinking about is to be able to carry the tripod in a back pack and ride my bike to the port where the view to the west is best (with no buildings). Also, there's the possibility to quickly decide on taking or not a picture with a pose.

It all indeed depends on where we live! Living in Antwerp, seeing the milky way is out of the question. So moving somewhere else? Ok, but what about the friends, the job, the things we need?
For the moment, I do travel south to have a better view but looking at the gas prices, I wonder if it's going to last.
