You may well loathe Israel and regard its actions as ruthless over-reacting if you think so - but without exception they are in response to 50+ years of the unceasing determination of its enemies, to ETHNICALLY CLEANSE the Arab region of the Jewish, oops, *Zionist* presence. That means, their unceasing stated aim to destroy Israel the state, and murder or expel its Jewish inhabitants.
