Maybe civilization isn't doomed for another 50 or even 100 years, but we cannot keep living
as we do now on one world and have the human population keep growing and expanding
and somehow magically expect everything to even itself out without some radical changes,
probably of a very unpleasant nature for most everyone.
Radical changes are needed: We can start working on them now, such as serious
population control, or we can wait for nature or human fear, greed, and violence
do the job for us, when it will be too late and too futile to protest.
We need to change our very natures. Humanity has outgrown itself in so many
ways. What was fine for our distance ancestors many thousands of years ago
isn't going to cut it with our growing technology and population base.
We are going to need to evolve much sooner than how nature usually moves
along. And we do have the tools to do this, or will soon - if we have the
foresight and courage to use our minds properly.

Maybe not now or even tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of our lives
