The French are being intelligent. The French forces will simply become targets for Hizbollah-if they actually try and due the UN mandate. Not to mention being a mere buffer (and accidential target) between the Isrealis and Hizzy.
The UN will probably end up with poor quality and underarmed Eastern Europeans and poorer quality Africian and Asian troops.
