Wolfowitz inadvertently played a useful role in opening eyes
Like a con who can't stop himself from bragging about his exploits, Wolfowitz brayed to someone or other (can't remember who exactly, possibly a reporter) about how the admin settled on WMD as the best way to sell the war.
It was, I think for many, the beginning of the end of Republican credibility.
