You don't have to plunge far into this material before you see the fatal flaw: not just that it's technically impossible, but that it's logically inconsistent on the very face of it, and it doesn't take a scientist to figure it out.
Let's assume for a moment, just for the sake of argument, that these claims are true. Let's assume that that one of the most fundamental concepts in our understnading of the universe, the conservation of energy, has been demonstrated to be wrong.
Presumably, to be able to discover this new law of nature, and to be able to create a device to harness it, would require some knowledge of science and engineering. Consequently, the discoverers would already be perfectly well aware that their fame and fortune would be guaranteed for all time. They wouldn't need to solicit internet patrons for a web marketing scheme. All it would take would be a call to a lawyer to get an airtight patent, and a bank loan big enough to finance a working model of the device.
Then, legitimate scientists would be recruited (perhaps from the local college) and told just enough about how the device works so that their investment in investigation/verification time would be worthwhile. No one is going to sign on to a lunatic project like this unless you explain
to him convincingly, in his language, why it isn't utter nonsense. These scientists could then be provided with permission to test these devices at their own facilities under controlled conditions. They would also sign confidentiality forms prepared by the solicitor.
Once sufficient scientific testimonials were accumulated, a publication in a referreed professional journal would be be done. which would not only describe the results of the product testing, but immeasurably boost the careers of everyone involved, including the publishing journal, by revealing the astounding new discovery that revolutionizes physics. Contrary to lay belief, scientists don't further their careers by covering up new discoveries, they get rich and famous by demolishing old theories. The system is set up so that IT IS IN EVERYONE'S SELF-INEREST that the truth comes out. That's why it works so well.
The reason scientists are so conservative about new research is that they are afraid to risk their reputation by looking the fool to their peers. But once they convince themselves of something, wild horses and dancing girls can't shut them up. They want their bylines on those journal articles. Until this is experimentally verified, however, the strictest security and confidentiality is observed for the very same reason. If I or any other technically oriented individual stumbled onto something like this, the LAST thing we'd want to do is make it widespread public knowledge before I was ready. There would be no website.
Once you've got a patent, a working model, a journal article, and a smart Edinburgh lawyer on your side, you go to the press and to corporate sponsorship. As Tom has pointed out in other posts, you'll not only get rich, you'll have unlimited access to every female in the CEO's family.
