re: Talking with terrorists?
There seems to be no way of talking some people out of the firm conviction that the only problem we have had with Islamic terrorists, never mind the leaders of Iran and North Korea, is that the right person just hasn't sat them down and had a nice talk with them, or made the right deal.
By any objective standards, negotiation with someone like al Qaeda or Hizbollah is the equivalent of trying to put a rabid dog through obedience school, but there's seemingly no getting past this mental roadblock.
