A '69 Love Afffair
look at the Mustang, the Dodge Challenger and now the Camaro, all harken back tot he late 60's when CID was king and the musclecar was at its height. The thing that killed the original musclecars was not HIGH gas prices, it was the escalalting costs of car insurances for these rockets. I should know, ordered a 71 base Nova with a 350 CID, 4 speed, no air, P/S, P/B, AM Radio, Tinted glass, HD Cooling , F78x14 BSW tires, bench seat, posi rear and NO SS Package, insurances were over 250 bucks a year cheaper with car optioned this way, of course the ins. was only 400 and change for a 18 yr old kid, too, car cost a little over 3 grand, WOW!
Wish I still had it.
