New Ideas!!!!!!!! Coooooooooool....
This builds on the mini-magnetospheric propulsion idea too, using plasma from a nuclear bomb to create a many-kilometer wide magnetosphere (trapped by a superconducting hoop) that interacts with the solar wind. And the MMO is an improvement on that idea, even, using smaller yielding externally-triggered Z-pinch detonations and a magnetic nozzle only a few meters wide. Just a month or two to Mars. A year out to Jupiter.
