I don't know what the big deal is. 60 books in a year is five a month, or a little over a book in a week. That's not a lot, even in somebody's spare time. Of course, it depends on the book. "Flashman" isn't going to be as heavy a slog as "American Prometheus."
It's interesting how much this bugs some people.
