Do you truly think these posts are equivalent?

Subject: "Just liberal lies"

"Liberals consider lying a valid tactic.

"Liberals are destroying our country.

"The gross stupidity of liberals is pathetic."

That's the total post. Entire, complete. Note - nothing which is a lie, lying, stupid or pathetic is mentioned. Nothing which would destroy the country.

And this.

Subject: Conservatives admire lying. Now it's the CIA secret prisons

"No end to it. And the Conservatives will defend the lie until their end. Remember "the US doesn't torture terror suspects", a famous statement by GWB?

"One of "our" conservatives even went so far as to suggest that maybe no one was being tortured at that moment GWB uttered those words, so it wasn't a lie.

"Heh, heh."

There are two fundamental lies mentioned along with the accusation of lying. Facts. Cited. And the ongoing justifications for GWBs lies are legend here. "Admire" may have been a slightly overstated assumption, and in context isn't that far out of line.

The concensus may be that they are equivalent. I won't doubt you if you say you can't see the difference. If there is a concensus, and it is that they are equivalent, I'll try very hard to understand. No guarantees.

And if you really think they are it will confirm my previous comments about the judgment and abilities you bring to various parties around here.
