and bad-physics on Earth

Hi Michael -

Okay, for the sake of a discussion here only, let's grant your hypothesis that the "blueberries" are preciptates of plama discharges due to electrical activity. How much voltage is then required, and what is its source? Where did these plasma discharges occur? Why hematite in the blueberries, and not some general mix of Mars' surface elements?

ON the other hand, if the "blueberries" were produced by the condensation of impact plasma instead, we have the well demonstrated mechanics of hypervelocity impact to account for the plasma and we have large craters on the surface of Mars showing where these impacts occured. And iron in the impacting bodies accounts for the hematite in the "blueberries". In as much as this accounts for all of the observed "blueberry" data, as well as for the LARGE CRATERS surrounded by impact fragments, we really have no need for any other mechanism, such as electrical discharge.

But of course, as others have frquently and persistently hypothesized that the action of non-existent water led to the formation of the "blueberries" on Mars, I am extremely enheartened to learn that you have frequently discussed your electric hypothesis with them in depth. They certainly deserve it.

By the way, how exactly did you come up with your electric hyposthesis?
