Article here.
I read parts of it. Tom, as the article says, this is the third time this year that Bush has tried to bullshit over the disaster that is his foreign policy. Same foreign policy, same bullshit.
Even he says, "- - - fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. It fool me. We can't get fooled again."
Contest:
"We're trying to figure out how best to make the world a peaceful place.
There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, it's probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. It fool me. We can't get fooled again."
The evidence suggests Mr Bush was trying to say: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
After that he decided to keep it simple. The United Nations, he insisted, "must not be fooled".
To pay any attention to what the guy says is folly. A metaphor.
Y'know the gangsta habit of confronting a person by trash-talking, waving a knife around, usually at the end of an outstretched arm? There may be a fancy watch out there, some rings, the blade flashes and it's like watching a cobra. Fascinating, shiny, deadly.
There's a reason for that. It's not where your problem is going to come from. That's a distraction, much like a magician. Don't listen to the words, don't watch the flash and you can handle it.
Just like Bush's speeches. Don't signify a single thing except a reiteration of THE BIG LIE.
Over and over.

"This is already the White House's third effort in the past year to reshape the Iraq debate with new rhetoric."

- Bush's speech today
- Have fun with this
- If you read what he says, and see what he does, there's a disconnect.
