It sounds like a real bugaboo.

Probably won't help but I had a worm once that kept me from opening antivirus and also killed task manager and regedit. I managed to get my task manager and regedit up by changing the name of the exe file and opening them manually.

My worm did not mess with tools and after a couple of weeks of working I managed to clean it up. Good luck on fixing it
