I can see your point, but I know I rarely read your links because it breaks up the rhythm of my sampling of the day's posts. I guess I'm guilty of the same thing with my rambling literary rants, and I wouldn't be too surprised if the average Zoner opens them up, groans, and moves on to something more succint. I think you would better serve your own cause by providing a teaser of some sort to whet our interest. Still, I consider this a matter of personal style and it doesn't bother me.
On the other hand, I think the link to a site rarely serves its intended purpose, which is why I rarely use them. The differences between Zoners, particularly political differences, are not differences of fact, but of interpretation. Two sites can both be scrupulously truthful and still carry totally opposite spins and arrive at completely opposed conclusions. Do you really think showing someone a carefully reasoned argument is going to suddenly change their minds? They will either ignore the challenge to their convictions, or just respond with an equally eloquent rebuttal of their own. This is why political questions are always resolved by elections, lawsuits, or war.
